Purpose:

The Yardmaster assembles the consist for the Conductor prior to initial departure. These switchlists identify the cars that are expected to depart from or arrive at the yard throughout the day. Together with a copy of the Train Manifest's Conductor Switchlist, the Yardmaster can make the train or break it down as appropriate.
