A Problem Ticket is a record of any maintenance action on your layout that you choose to record and track to resolution. Problem Tickets are manually created and updated unless you choose to trigger on based upon a Bad Order issuance.
This figure shows the form used to create a maintenance ticket.
Ticket # - is a number automatically created in a one-up fashion.
Type is chosen from among : rolling stock, turnout, signal, sensor and others.
Item ID - chosen from a drop down list of the appropriate type
Status is 'Pending' or 'Completed'
When you specify the type of item for this ticket, a list of those in you database are displayed. highlight the specific item and press "select' to add it to the maintenance ticket.
If you have a complex layout, things are always breaking, failing, wearing out and so forth. Use the ticketing system if you need a way to schedule and track many maintenance tasks.
