Whenever you generate waybills that you assign to a manifest and then schedule and run the train with this manifest, the rolling stock record for each locomotive, freight car, passenger car and caboose, if any, on this train is updated to capture this usage. You may trigger the need for preventative maintenance based on days since last serviced or by the number of times the rolling stock has been moved since the last maintenance was performed.
This figure shows the rolling stock preventative maintenance table.
Days between Servicing - you can define the number of days between preventative maintenance scheduling
Uses between Servicing - you can define the number of times the rolling stock has been run on a train manifest before the next preventative maintenance is needed
Days since Serviced - MRRM enters the actual number of days since the last PM was completed
Times since Serviced - MRRM increments this number every time the rolling stock is put on a manifest and the train acknowledgment is made on the Dispatcher Manifest Status tabpage.
Due for Service - MRRM updates when PM is needed based on your requirements.
You can set all rolling stock triggers at one time using these controls. You can also change these trigger values individually for each piece or selected piece of rolling stock.
Set to use based on your preferences.
