Model RailRoad Manager (tm), MRRM (tm), software provides model railroad Inventory, Maintenance and Waybill-based Traffic Generation. Advanced version includes Dispatcher, Fascia, Cab Panels Editor and Operations, Layout Locomotive, Turnout, Signal, Block Occupancy, and other sensor Control. Advanced edition also provides HyperThrottle Cabs that integrate rail traffic workload and layout control, Multi-layout Operations for virtual car forwarding between layouts, Remote Operations to drive trains from a distance, Web Cams, Internet features, and extended DCC support.

MRRM Internet Server


Purpose: To support Multi-Layout Operations (MLO), aka Virtual Car Forwarding VCF, one Internet hosted server is required to be the traffic hub among the partner Model Railroads.

 


Technical Description: The prototype of this server was built in the 2002 - 2004 timeframe using Microsoft ASP technology predating their .net in use today. This technology is known as Visual Interdev 6.0. Visual Basic was the language used in conjunction with a Sybase Adaptive Server database and a MS IIS web server. The server Operating System was Microsoft NT4.0 Server.
